which you will find in 90% of the
worlds business markets. In the US, GSM/GPRS is available from
Cingular and T-Mobile, while Sprint and Verizon support CDMA/1xRTT.
Internationally, either GSM/GPRS or CDMA (or both) is available in
most areas.
What
you need to know:
Expect to pay from US$9.00 to $29.00 per month per vehicle for cellular data
airtime (telemetry plan).
Determine who is the cellular carrier with the most reliable and best coverage

carriers if service deteriorates, rates can increase without you having any
negotiating power, your supplier will probably add a surcharge to the carrier
airtime fee, and is probably getting a commission fee from the carrier to sign
you up.
CES Wireless products are compatible
with GPRS and CDMA. CES Wireless will assit you with the task of determining the
best carrier in your area using our skilled Dealer resources.
CES Wireless will process the paperwork to activate our products on these
networks on your behalf, eliminating extra steps for you.

radio and radio trunking systems are the oldest forms of mobile

private enterprise continue to use licensed two-way radio as a cost effective,
very secure and ultra reliable means to communicate with their work force.
Mobile devices are available as fixed in vehicle units or 'walkie
talkies". Major manufactures include Motorola, Kenwood,
EFJohnson, Midland, Tait, Icom, and Vertex.
What
you need to know:
CES
Wireless products are compatible with all of the popular two-way radio units.
CES
Wireless products are compatible with radio trunking networks
With
two-way radio and radio trunking, you get both voice and data communications
Walkie Talkies cannot be used because they are 'portable"
and usually removed from a vehicle.
There are NO monthly fees association with the transfer of data
"over the air" on two-way radio conventional systems. A small per vehicle
fee is charged for airtime over radio "trunking" systems.
Two way radio and radio trunking systems do not allow for the same
throughput/amount of data traffic as a cellular system, but adequate
for most applications. Please consult your
CES Wireless representative who will assist you decide which
option is best for you.
CES
Wireless products 'plug' into the radio and share the same
channel with voice communications. If you have more than one
channel available, channel steering can be enabled. On trunking
systems, data is sent on a data group.
CES
Wireless products allow for a mix of wireless systems, e.g. Two-way,
trunking and cellular within the same system.
